Lina + John: Beach Romance at The Oceanview of Nahant, MA
I had the pleasure of meeting Lina and John early in the year at Adriana's Pastry & Cafe in Winthrop, which has now become a favorite of mine. Great coffee (I'm def a coffee snob), great pastry and a beautiful view if you need to get out of the house and get some work done on you're laptop.
Anyways, they were a gorgeous and happy couple, so laid back and so easy going. Lina had actually never even tried her wedding dress on. **gasp**. She had ordered it custom, site unseen, AND wasn't even a tiny bit worried about it. It didn't matter, they both exuded style and it was obvious that their wedding was going to be about their committed love for one another and everything else was going to fall into place.
And of course everything fell in line perfectly. They decided to keep the flowers natural and wild looking, which I think was a perfect match for the beach atmosphere of the venue at The Oceanview in Nahant MA.
The bouquets featured white Lisiathus, blue Scabiosa, cream colored Stock, blue Delphinium, lavender Clematis, blue Thistle and white Roses. Everything was arranged very loosely and mixed (no groupings) so it appeared that it was a tiny hand held field of flowers. You may be surprised to know that that this actually takes a lot of time and care to arrange this way, even though it looks as though someone just plucked them out of a field themselves. LOL
The views from this venue are to die for, plus it has a perfect pebble beach and a newly renovated outdoor ceremony space. Lets talk about this driftwood arbor, it's gorgeous! You could leave it naked and I think that the backdrop speaks for itself. But the addition of the asymmetrical flowers and the isle markers really makes it a show stopper.
Backdrop=Priceless
It was a little windy and chilly that day, but you'd never know it from how relaxed and comfortable all the ladies looked!
How perfect is this one! This flowering Cherry tree was perfect!
I think the guys nailed it too! I loved the contrasting suit that the groom chose.
The centerpieces matched the style and colors of the bouquets. We chose to do small 3 piece collections with mason jars and rustic bottles. This sort of design really lends itself well to the wildflower look and I think the colors looked great in this space.
Lina and John couldn't say enough good things about the Oceanview of Nahant. They said they made the whole process a breeze and it was the best decision they made. I mean look at that beach... that alone won me over. But honestly, John and Lina were one of the easiest couples I've worked for, they made their day their own in a way that was beautiful and effortless. They made it look easy.
Wishing you all the happiness in the World!
Thank you for letting Fleur + Stitch be a part of your day!
