Amanda + Kyle: Happily Ever After at Groveland Fairways, Groveland MA

Amanda + Kyle came to me in June of 2016 looking for a florist for their Groveland Fairways nuptials and reception in 2017. Amanda and Kyle came with Amanda's parents, they all just couldn't be more excited and we must have chatted for about 2 hours. They were charming and lovely and I could have just sat and talked and had coffee for about 2 more hours, lol. But work beckoned and I had to cut my lovely afternoon shorter than I would have liked.

Amanda and Kyle were super excited about the lush gardens at Groveland Fairways and let me tell you they did not disappoint.

Amanda chose all white flowers, designed in a full and round style with a touch of greenery. I used peonies, white garden roses, white spray roses, calla lilies, flat eucalyptus and flowering oregano. I think adding the the flowering oregano made the bouquets just a tiny bit gardeny to mirror the atmosphere of the pristinely manicured grounds at Groveland Fairways.

For the Bridesmaids we chose a gold colored ribbon. Notice it's not metallic. Sometimes a metallic ribbon can come off a little cheap looking. I like to suggest this amber color or a champagne ribbon. I think that it looks more authentic and a little more luxurious.

We decked out the existing onsite arbor with some fabric and some florals placed asymetrically but still balanced. We used white hydrangea, roses, peonies, flat eucalyptus, olive branch, and passion fruit vine. Covering an arbor like this can give it an updated look without having to reinvent the wheel. In this case we waited until the last possible minute to decorate the ceremony space. It was incredibly hot that day and we wanted to ensure the flowers were fresh for the ceremony.

Amanda really liked the idea of having the lanterns surrounded by white flowers, it's a classic look that I don't think will ever go out of style.

They also made their own table numbers, each listed with some of their favorite places. Table numbers and escort cards are great place to inject some of your personal style while still keeping things elegant.

Groveland Fairways did a tremendous job at utilizing the bouquets and isle markers to decorate some of the other interesting areas, like this mantle, around the function hall. One of the benefits of having all your bouquets delivered to the reception/ceremony is that the vases are already there!

What a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Happy ever after Amanda + Kyle! Thanks for letting Fleur + Stitch be such a big part of your day!
